The Tabernacle
Tabernacle means “dwelling place”
God wanted His Holy presence to dwell among His people.
The tabernacle was the temporary place of worship allowing the Israelites to properly worship God while wandering in the wilderness. The Tabernacle led and protected Israel, and was the focal point of Hebrew culture until Solomon built the First Temple in Jerusalem. God gave Moses specific instruction on construction of the Tabernacle. Craftsmen working with acacia wood, gold, silver and bronze constructed the Bronze Alter, the Table of Showbread, the Lampstand, the Alter of Incense, and the Ark of the Covenant. In this study, we will look at scripture concerning how the Tabernacle was designed and constructed? What is the meaning God intended?
